In 2020, Lidl Slovenia and the EcoSchool Association iniciated Zero Food waste day in Slovenia and invited number of partners to cooperate – Ecologists without Borders, the Slovenian Association of Friends of Youth, TAM-TAM, the Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Energy, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food and the Etri Group with the Mini Factory.
The aim of the project is to encourage everyone to reduce and prevent food waste, to present the many ways of using food products that are often left unused, and to raise awareness about the importance of planning purchases wisely. The project has already achieved remarkable results in its first years of implementation: in 2022, the project received the honourable patronage of the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, and in 2023, the Government of the Republic of Slovenia, on the initiative of Lidl Slovenia, the EcoSchool Association and partners, declared 24 April as the National Zero Food waste day.
The Taktik agency has been managing the communication and content of the entire project from the very start, connecting all partners, designing the creative image and key messages, and ensuring the overall visibility of the project in different target audiences.
